Room was good
Parking was appalling, staff told us to go and park in a public car park that we were assured was free, sadly it was not - so we got a ticket. Car park was full due to the hotel having two christmas parties in on friday night, on Saturday morning it was only half full - obviously being used by non-residents

The value for our stay was excellent, and the room was bothvery comfy and tidy. The staff were pretty good, particularly Chris, whose friendly demeanor really enhanced our experience.
The hotel breakfast menu could use a bit more variety.

An old building with lots of character such as wonky stairs and squeeky floorboards. It was however surprisingly quiet (from experience) of some older hotels is they tend to be noisy and uncomfortable. Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful....
